Poste proposé : Sales Director - Guinea-Bissau
Our client, a corporation of Electricity and Water in Guinea-Bissau, is recruiting a Sales Director M/F.
Position Mission :
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for all activities and services related to the commercial services of the Company including commercial liaison with agencies in the country and commercial centers within the country.
Roles and main Responsibilities :
- Develops guiding policies for the departments and services of the branch
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate, in collaboration with the regional managers, all the Company's commercial operations including commercial, industrial, institutional, wholesale and retail sales activities throughout the Republic of Guinea-Bissau
- Establish management's objectives and formulate or approve policies and programs regarding commercial services
- Reorganize the company's commercial management activities
- Plan and organize the departments under his/her direction and ensure the creation of related positions
- Allocate the human, material and financial resources necessary to implement the policies and activities of the branch
- Establish and monitor administrative and financial controls
- Participate in the formulation and validation of promotional campaigns
- Participate in the development and approval of the overall human resources plan for his/her department
- Participate in the selection of middle managers and other personnel in his/her department
- Coordinate the work of the regions, departments and services of the Directorate
- Maintain relations and coordination with the Electricity and Water Directorate in the conduct of marketing activities
- Represent the company or delegate representatives in negotiations regarding commercial services or other official functions.
Specific Activities :
- Coordinate the activities and services of the departments under his/her responsibility
- Provide a strategic vision for the development and implementation of policy and programs focused on market development and the quality of the company's customer services
- Organize sales operations for the entire country in collaboration with the interregional departments. Ensure the optimal configuration of the sales office network in terms of service quality, performance and operating costs
- Lead the development of business relationships with corporate clients and manage sales contract negotiations
- Participate in the development of capital and expense budgets required for the operation of the Branch. Lead the process of forecasting demand, billing and expected collections for use as a parameter in developing annual and five-year capital and expense budgets
- Ensure the development of appropriate products, services and tariffs to promote the use of efficient home appliances
- To establish organizational policies and procedures for sales and all commercial services
- Develop and implement a plan to instill a culture of customer satisfaction and ethics in the Sales Department
- Develop public education campaigns to promote responsible consumption of services offered
- Make consumption billing more reliable and extend metered billing to all subscribers
- Improve bill collection, especially for private customers
- Supervise the complete census of customers, coding and integration of subscribers in the customer base
- Improve the reception of customers and the processing of complaints
- Implement a new customer information system
- Implement tools to know the company's customers. Lead the customer communication process
- Ensure the implementation of applicable technical and environmental standards
- Manage the personnel under his/her authority and ensure the maintenance of their skills and capacity building. Develop teamwork and accountability of staff in the performance of their duties
- Coordinate with the Human Resources Department, the implementation of policies, training plans and personnel management processes
- Establish standards and procedures for the processes for which he is responsible, and ensure that the setup and installation of management systems are adapted to the needs of the processes
- Manage the budgets of the activities for which he is responsible
- Be responsible for the implementation of safety procedures to be practiced by the departments and services under his supervision.

Basic job requirements :
Minimum Education :
- Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields of study: Engineering, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
- Any other additional training in fields of knowledge related to general administration would be an asset.
Experience required :
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in middle and/or senior management positions in similar organizations.
Languages :
- FLUENCY in spoken and written PORTUGUESE
- Have a working knowledge of French and English.
